Services for Sam’l Metcalf will be conducted at 10 o’clock Saturday morning at Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Alvin Booher officiating. Burial will follow in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
Mr. Metcalf, 71 years old, died suddenly Tuesday morning of a heart attack as he was being admitted to Community Hospital. He had been in poor health for about six years and came to Wickenburg on April 15, 1947, from Montana, to seek relief from asthma.
Prior to moving to Wickenburg, Mr. Metcalf was a logging contractor in Kalispell, Mont. He was born near Des Moines, Ia., on March 25, 1879, but lived in Montana for many years. He was married to Mrs. Golda Martin in Kalispell on March 3, 1926.
Surviving are the widow, of 153 North Adams Street; a stepson, Clair Martin of Kalispell; two granddaughter, six brothers and two sisters.
