Services Are Held Tuesday for Louis Z. McNew of Morristown.
He Died June 13 In Veterans Hospital.
Funeral services for Louis Z. McNew of Morristown were conducted at the Wickenburg Chapel Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Carl Adams, pastor of the Foursquare Church, officiating. Rites at the Wickenburg Cemetery were conducted by the American Legion. McNew passed away June 13 in the Veterans Hospital at Phoenix.
Mr. McNew served in the Army in World War I until he was injured and discharged because of his disability. He had been in ill health since then. He was born in Washington, Ind., October 11, 1887, and had lived in Arizona since 1936. Before his health forced his retirement he was a mechanic.
Surviving are the widow, of Morristown, two brothers, D.G. McNew of Ponca City, Okla., and Dewey McNew of Snyder, Texas; and five sisters, Mrs. Leona Woods, of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Vera Clair of Los Angeles, Mrs. Venus Flood of New York City, Mrs. Fern Caven of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Gladys Griffin of Hawaii.
