CARSON, Roy R. (Kit)

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona February 15, 1968 “Kit” Carson Roy R. (Kit) Carson, one of the two organizers of the Wickenburg Rotary Club in 1937, died Sunday morning at his home in Castro Valley, Calif., at the age of 82. He was employed by the Railway Mail Service running through Wickenburg when he and Carl Wood organized Wickenburg Rotary. He retired from the mail service in 1946 after 36 years of service and moved to California where he was engaged in the real estate business and later as a book publisher. Mr. Carson presented the Rotary Club here with its bell and was an honorary member. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Castro Valley.
