Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona February 29, 1968, page 15 Gloria Hampshire Wickenburg residents were saddened to learn of the death of Gloria Hampshire who passed away after a lingering illness Monday, February 26 in Phoenix. She and her husband Leslie, and their three sons were residents of Wickenburg from 1953 through 1961 while Les was employed her by Kerstien’s Auto Supply. A member of St. Anthony’s Parish and St. Anthony’s Altar and Rosary Society, she was also active in the Wickenburg Lioness Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Wickenburg PTA and other civic organizations. Mrs. Hampshire was born in Laugo, Puerto Rico, September 11, 1919. She moved to Arizona in 1946. She is survived by her husband, the three sons, Gene and Larry of Phoenix and Richard who is in the Air Force station in Tucson, and six sisters. Mass will be said at St. Louis Catholic Church, 43rd Avenue and Maryland, Phoenix, at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
