UMPHRED, Edwin Franklin (Trip), III

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 08/26/2011 Edwin Franklin Umphred III (Trip) died Aug. 19, 2011, in Show Low. Trip attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. He was very active in raising money for scholarships with CAC Vaquarious foundation. He also belonged to the Casa Grande Elks lodge for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Karen; five children: Kenny (Kandi), Janet (Randy), Patrick (Shawn), April, and Tom; five grandchildren: Athena, Randy, Ian, Dominic and Michael; great-grandson Elias; sister Darcy Umphred (Gordon) Burton; and two nephews: Jeb and Ben. He was placed to rest Thursday, Aug. 25, at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery in Chandler. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
