Dennis "Denny" Jay Flick, age 75, a 28-year resident of Fort Mohave, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011, at his home in Fort Mohave, Ariz.
He was born on November 7, 1935, in Springfield, Ohio. Denny retired as a Lieutenant from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, and was a member of the SRA Sheriff's Association.
Denny was an avid golfer, and managed the handicaps for the Desert Lakes Golf Club where he enjoyed relaxing after a round of golf at the 19th hole, or having lunch at Antonucci's Restaurant with his golf buddies. He also enjoyed traveling.
Denny now joins his wife, Dottie, in death.
He is survived by his two daughters, Laura Joesten and Denise Lewis; three sisters, Naomi, Nancy Lee and Joyce; four grandchildren, Stephen Hatfield, Shelley Hatfield, Dana Wright and Daniel Jackling; and many great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at the Mohave Valley United Methodist Church, 1593 Lipan Blvd in Fort Mohave. Pastor Gene Stouffer will officiate.
Arrangements are under the care of Desert Lawn Funeral Home Crematory and Memorial Gardens, where Denny and Dottie will be interned together, forever in peace.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Denny's name to the Soup Kitchen Fund at Mohave Valley United Methodist Church, 1593 Lipan Blvd, Fort Mohave, AZ 86426.
