MEJIA, Ricardo Raul


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Saturday, August 27, 2011 - Ricardo Raul Mejia passed away Aug. 24, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 62. He was born to Alferino and Mary (Varela) Mejia on June 13, 1949 in Barstow, Calif. Ricardo married his little woman Maria “Shiela” on July 26, 1969. Ricardo loved to spend all of his time with grandchildren, fishing, playing paintball, martial arts, telling stories and cycling. Ricardo had rode many times from Las Vegas, Nev. to Parker, Ariz. benefiting the Multiple Sclerosis Society. He worked for many years for P.G. & E. as a Senior Relief Compression Operator. Ricardo leaves behind his beloved wife Maria “Shiela” Mejia; his daughters and their families, Marla (Joe) Barba and their children, Houston, Samuel and baby boy Barba, of Lake Havasu City; Carla (Johnny) Herrera and their daughter Salina Mejia, of Lake Havasu City and Monique (Ray) Apalategui and their children Ricky, Tommy and Diego, of Lake Havasu City. In lieu of flowers donations are asked to go in Ricardo’s memory to the American Heart Association of LHC, P.O.
