Richard G. Becker, 79, died Aug. 15, 2011, in Albuquerque, N.M. He was born Nov. 29, 1931, in Springerville. Richard was a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Nadia; children: Mark (Penny), Hutchinson; Janet Bland, Tucson; Kathryn Becker, Miami, Florida, Carol and husband, Ken O'Keef, Albuquerque, N.M.; Scott (Yana) Huber of Breckenridge, Colo.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Belle Becker, and brother Robert Becker.

A private service will be held at National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Doctors Without Borders in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas 67501
