HADAWAY, Dale B.


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Tuesday, August 30, 2011 - Dale B. Hadaway, 71, passed away Aug. 19, 2011 in Lake Havasu City. He was born Dec. 5, 1939, in Detroit. Dale graduated from Lincoln High School in Ferndale, Mich., in 1957. He then joined the Navy and served his country for nine years. In 1969, he settled in Chicago and began his career in real estate, achieving $1,000,000 in sales during his first year; which he repeated several years in a row. In 1986 he move to Lake Havasu City and continued as a real estate broker for another 25 years. Dale was also known to many as "Uncle Dale", from his radio ads. Dale truly loved shooting pool — playing in leagues and tournaments in Arizona and Las Vegas for many years. He was also a master chef and loved cooking gourmet meals at home for his friends and family. Those who knew Dale would agree that he lived his life to its fullest. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Dale is survived by his loving wife, Vicky of Lake Havasu City; sister Judith (Gerald) Crossley of Madison Heights, Mich.; son Cory (Tracy) Hadaway of Lisle, Ill.; daughter Dayle Brittney of Royal Oaks, Mich.; nephews Ronald (Michelle) and Brian (Christine); niece Kristin; grandchildren Dillon, Max, Camryn and Jacob; 11 step-grandchildren and eight great- nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Hadaway; mother, Kathleen (Colborn) Hadaway; son Scott and daughter Yevette. There will be no services; however there will be a Celebration of Life Pool Tournament Sunday, Sept. 18, at Keglers. Thoughts and condolences can be sent to Vicky Hadaway at 55 S.
