PENROD, Kenneth LaVerl


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 09/02/2011 Kenneth LaVerl Penrod went home to join our Father and his father Aug. 31, 2011. He was born Jan. 20, 1946, in McNary. From the time he was young he loved to learn and read and this continued throughout his life. He was a Jack of all trades and loved to work with his hands. He loved a good joke and loved to laugh. Kenneth served his country in Vietnam and continued to love and serve his country throughout his life. He passed this love on to his family. He loved to work with youth and served as a little league president, he also served for years in scouting as well as many other callings in the church. His father, Leonard Penrod, preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, Beulah Penrod; his wife, Janet; his kids and spouses: Corky, Lamell, Troy, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Rachelle, Heather, Becca, Stephanie, and Kristin, as well as by his 12 grandkids. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5, at the Taylor Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Taylor. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 10-11 a.m., and from 6:30-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, at the Taylor LDS Stake Center. Interment will follow the services at the Shumway Cemetery.
