Mary Carol Joy peacefully transitioned from this earth Aug. 21, 2011, on the Blue River surrounded by her children. She was born Dec. 12, 1930, in Eau Claire, Wis. She lived long and happy, experiencing life to the fullest.
Amongst many cherished friends, her living family includes her children: Michael Sadler (Monica) of Paradise Valley, Kurt Sadler (partner Marcello) of Phoenix, Teresa Becker (Gus "Bud") of Springerville, Max Sadler (Meg) of Springerville, Clint Sadler of Blue River; sons: Jim Joy, Vern Gilbert, and Tom Smith; grandchildren: Christina (Sadler) Johnson, Naomi Cherry, Macsen Sadler, Levi Cherry, Isaiah Sadler; great-grandchildren: Madisen, Raylee, Tarron, Paige, Layton, Colton, Garrett; and her hound dog "Big Boy" remains her faithful companion.
Mary Carol was preceded in death by her father Dewey Truman, mother Doris Mae, and grandson Ian Sadler.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Sept. 24. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be sent to Hospice Compassus in Lakeside.
