Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, September 07, 2011 James Archie Cummings of Globe, Ariz. passed away on Aug. 29, 2011 in Mesa, Ariz. at the age of 74. James was born in Cooper, Texas on Oct. 27, 1936 to William Andrew and Mary Forrester Rainey Cummings. Jim enjoyed being with his family, helping others and spending quality time with his children and grandkids. He always had a smile for everyone, he always looked at the bright side of things. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed watching the Arizona Diamondbacks and western movies. Jim loved being in his home up in Young, Ariz. every spring and summer. He loved camping, ATV, hunting, shooting guns with his step-sons and grandkids at the range. James is survived by his wife of 35 years, Eleanor Cummings, of Globe, Ariz.; sons, Leonard (Kathy) Lopez of Mesa, Ariz., Fred Lopez of Chandler, Ariz., William (Christine) Lopez of Globe, Ariz.; daughters, Vicki Lopez of Mesa, Ariz., Tura (Rob) Fait of Phoenix, Ariz., Sandy Cummings, of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Glendle (Debbie) Cummings, of Texas; sister, Bonnie Grimett of Phoenix, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was a loving husband, dad, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. The Memorial service will be announced at a later time.
