Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, September 07, 2011 Patricia Irene Gayle, age 76 of Claypool, Ariz., passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, in Gilbert, Ariz. Patricia was born Dec. 26, 1934, the daughter of Alice E. (Hannon) and Raymond O. Cook. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts of any kind, and was an excellent seamstress making prom dresses for her daughters. Pat loved big groups of family and friends around her, and was the best cook always making Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners herself for her huge family. She attended all school functions and games for her children and grandchildren. Pat was beautiful inside and out, she was known as Grandma Pat to everyone, always giving and was very selfless person. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William E. Cook, and one grandson, Bryan Nader who had passed away 15 years to the day on Sept. 2, 1996. She leaves behind in loving memory her husband of 39 years, Charles S. Gayle of Claypool, Ariz., whom she married Nov. 6, 1971; eight children, Stephen Michael (Lisa) Katich of Glendale, Ariz., Sharon Kay (Katich) (Richard) Shanklin of Vincennes, Ind., Jana Dawn Katich of Mesa, Ariz., Kimberley Ann Katich of Maricopa, Ariz., Lori Rae (Katich) Galvan of Miami, Ariz., Misti Lynn Katich of Miami, Ariz., Stacey Lynn (Gayle) (Joseph) De La Torre of Gilbert, Ariz. and Cristy Dyan (Gayle) (Jay) Garcia of Gilbert, Ariz.; one brother, Thomas Ray Cook of Globe, Ariz.; 24 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Memorials suggested to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014. Visitation is Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Miles Funeral Services Globe Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. Private interment will be held at a later date.
