Odessa (TX) American Friday, August 12, 2011 Hazel Maxine Foster Crisp was born February 5, 1931 on a farm out of Waurika, Oklahoma to John D and Ruthie (Wooten) Foster. Maxine was proud to be an "Okie." She grew up with two sisters, Dorothy and Minnie and two brothers, Buddy and John Robert. Maxine met her husband Aubrey when they lived in Lockney, Texas. They were married on January 2, 1950 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. They were blessed with four children, Aton Wayne, Cynthia Ann, Susan Kay and David Winston. Maxine and Aubrey enjoyed 61 years of marriage. They were devoted to one another. Maxine also loved her friends at Crescent Park Baptist Church and Eastern Star Chapter 447. She was especially attached to her painting buddies. As a hairdresser she made Odessa more beautiful one lady at a time. Maxine loved her Lord Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Aubrey Crisp; son, David Winston; brothers, Christian Daniel & John Robert Foster. She is survived by her son, Alton Wayne Crisp of Mesquite, TX; daughters, Cynthia Ann Turner & husband Michael of Combine, TX, Susan Crisp of Wickenburg, AZ; sisters, Dorothy Selby of Mesquite, Minnie Morgan of Plainview; (9) grandchildren & (5) great-grandchildren. A visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2011, 7:00 to 9:00pm at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Crescent Park Baptist Church with Rev Johnny Touchstone officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to the Hospice House Odessa. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
