Heather May Rivington was the daughter of Harold Rivington and Blanche Richardson Rivington. She was born at home, July 5, 1973, at three minutes after midnight, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her father delivered her because the doctor did not get there on time.
Her mother's birthday was July 4, so when she found out that Utah was on daylight savings time, she decided she was really born July 4, and celebrated that as her birthday.
She moved to Taylor in 1978, where she graduated from Snowflake High School in 1991. She earned her RN degree from WNMU in Silver City. She earned her Bachelors in social work at WNMU and her masters coursework in nursing from New Mexico State in Las Cruces. She spent the last 20 years in the nursing profession starting as a nursing tech. From the time she was a small child, she always wanted to help people, and she had love for all around her, and so she was a natural nurse. She like to play jokes on people, and she and her sisters were always joking around.
She enjoyed motorcycling and camping. She had a passion for music and loved to sing. She loved to spend time with her nephews and family and would always remember their birthdays, Christmas, and all other special occasions. She was a loyal friend.
She is survived by her parents, Blanche and Harold Rivington; four brothers: Paul Ian, Guy Charles, Mark Boyd, and Glen Lionel; five sisters: Deborah, Julie, Helen, Kristie, and Shelly. She was the fifth of seven children, and had an older half brother and two half sisters, and many nephews and nieces that will miss her dearly. Her dear friend Lorena Jiminez will also miss her dearly.
