CAMPER,
Albert Glendel (Big Al)
Crystal Rose Funeral Home,
Tolleson, Arizona
Albert Glendel Camper, a.k.a. Big Al, entered into life April 4, 1955, in Boley, OK and entered into rest March 29, 2009, at his brothers home in Tonopah, AZ.
Big Al was the 3rd oldest son of the late Carvell and Eddie Lee Camper. Big Al moved to Avondale, AZ. with his family in 1967. He attended Avondale Elementary Schools and graduated from Agua Fria Union High School in 1974. He also attended Glendale Community College.
Big Al wed Lynn Dunston in August 1984. There were no children from this union, but his step-daughter, Ronny Brokenborough, blessed him with a son-in-law and 3 grandchildren.
His favorite genre of music was R&B, particularly the Isley brothers, the Temptations, and Bobby Womack. He loved fishing, especially with his father, was fascinated with race cars, and dancing. Al could often be seen trying to dance and clown around. Albert was very spontaneous, especially when someones spirit needed to be lifted. He had a special place in his heart for children and animals.
Big Al was so full of life. He always wanted to be where the action was. His special sense of humor will be truly missed.
Big Al leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife, Lynn Camper; step-daughter, Ronny Brokenborough; 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, and Kennedy; 5 sisters; Nina Camper, Rosie Camper, Linda Camper, Carla Bell, and Tonia Sampson; 3 brothers, Ray Smith, Cardell Camper, and Johnny Camper. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and numerous friends.
Celebration of life services will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Crystal Rose Funeral Home 9155 W. Van Buren St., Tolleson, AZ.
