He was born in Milwaukee, WI, June 23, 1936. Robert is survived by his wife Shirley Ann Merz, children Bonita (Lawrence) Winfield, Paul (Frances) Merz, Dawn (James) Orris, Debra (Robert) Pluff, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, 1 sister, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Friday September 9, 2011, Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St. Mass will be at 9 am, Saturday, September 10th at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 10815 N. 35th Ave. Burial will be at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale, AZ.
