PAYNE, J.W. (Dub)

The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Saturday, September 10, 2011 J.W. (Dub) Payne, 74 years old, passed away on Tuesday September 6, 2011, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 24, 1937 in Millrose, N.M., and married to the love of his life for 56 years. Dub enjoyed life fully by creating beautiful woodwork and gorgeous gardens, along with camping and loving his many grandchildren. He leaves behind his wife Jean, and three children: Rick Payne of Show Low, AZ, Peggy Patterson of Cortez, CO, and Tammy Tarlton of Camp Verde, AZ, along with 7 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Services were held at 10:00 am, September 10, 2011 at Bueler Funeral Home in Camp Verde, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to your favorite charity.
