Piper, age 75, a 7-year resident of Bullhead City, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in Bullhead City, Ariz. Douglas was born August 30, 1935, in Crete, Nebraska. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was employed as a bakery driver before retiring. Douglas is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Piper; daughter, Kathy Pagnini of Martinez, Calif.; son, Gregory Piper of Martinez, Calif.; one grandson, Nick Pagnini of Martinez, Calif.; and two granddaughters, Lindsey Pagnini, of Kaanapali, Hawaii., and Vanessa Piper of Placerville, Calif. No services are scheduled.
