YATES, John (Jack)

Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online on September 11, 2011 - John "Jack" Yates, age 64, a resident of Bullhead City for over 30-years, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nev. Jack, a Southern California Edison retiree, was born January 30, 1947, in Jefferson, Ohio. He served four years in the US Navy on a submarine. He also coached in the Bobby Sox Soft Ball League for over 20 years and loved every minute of it. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Roberta Yates; and brother, James Yates. Jack is survived by daughter, Monica (Steve) Gwinn; son, John (Veronica) Yates; three sisters, Patricia Dickey, Phyllis Wagner, and Barbara Barnes; grandchildren, Kristine Gwinn, Zachary Gwinn, Ian Yates and Alec Yates; and his companion, Susan Spahr. Jack enjoyed life to the fullest and told all he knew that he is having another day in paradise. No services are planned.
