Parker Pioneer, Parker, AZ - Published on September 7, 2011 - Susan M. Stroud Aug. 20, 2011 Parker resident Susan “Sue” Matheson Stroud passed away peacefully, Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011. She will be greatly missed by her children, Kathy (Gary) Hill, David (Drema) Stroud, Judy (Paul) Cooley Jr., Robby Stroud, seven grandchildren: Annie Wolfe, Denae Newman, Jennifer Newton, Benjamin Cooley, Devon Stroud, Kinsey Hill and Jordan Stroud; 10 great grandchildren: Emilie, Calvin, Chloe, Connor, Benjamin, Bella, Charlie, Jaxon, Daisie, and Tatym. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Stroud, also of Parker. Sue was an avid sports fan. She loved the Diamondbacks and proudly displayed her Phoenix Suns banner in her front window for years. Sue will most likely be remembered as Parker's finest cashier for Claypools, Q Fresh and Bashas markets, as well as the No. 1 fan of Parker High's Jordan Stroud (grandson). Sue will be missed by all but never forgotten.
