Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Tuesday, September 13, 2011 - April Maria Mott was born Oct. 15, 1978; the firstborn to Monika (Kirschbauer) Vinquist and Aaron Mott, in Lake Havasu City. April departed this life Aug. 30, 2011. April spent most of her life in Lake Havasu until she moved to Corona, Calif., and later to Phoenix. As a young girl, she participated in the Lake Havasu High School choir, she had a beautiful soprano voice. A very talented person in writing and art; she was self-taught and fluent in Spanish. She had a very outgoing personality and brought joy to all who knew her. April valued life and treasured in her heart, her children. April loved the Lord, and in her youth participated actively on the drama team, choir and band at Victory Chapel. April is survived by her seven children, whom she dearly loved: Miguel, of Mexico, Taylor Star, of Kingman; William and Steven, of Tucson; Luke and Janae, of Colorado; and Michael, of Phoenix; her mother, Monica and stepfather, Donald Vinquist, of Lake Havasu City; father, Aaron Mott, of Kingman; sister, Sharron Mott; and brothers, Nathanael and David Vinquist, of Lake Havasu City; Adam (Jennifer); niece, Jacqueline Mott, of Vancouver; and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be at noon Saturday at First Baptist Church, 113 N. Acoma Blvd., Pastor Robert D. Greene, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the trust in the name of April Mott at Chase Bank to help with funeral expenses or to the building fund of First Baptist Church, 1134 N. Acoma Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
