BUTCHKO, David W.

The Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on September 13, 2011 - David W. Butchko was born March 6, 1941, to Mary and Michael Butchko in Riverside, Calif. Sadly, on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, David lost his short battle with leukemia in Las Vegas. He will be missed by many. David and his wife, Pat, were long-time residents of Kingman. Together they lived at their Smoking Gun Ranch off Highway 93. Known as "Little Dave," he was never without his black cowboy hat, black shirt and boots. A man of few words, he was happiest being a city cowboy: rounding up rattlesnakes, coyotes and jackrabbits. Dave worked for more than nine years as foreman of A-1 Well Service in Kingman. Dedicated, he never missed a day of work in all those years. Lynn Pile, owner of A-1 Well Service agrees. Without Dave's knowledge, support and great customer service, the business would not have succeeded. Dave, we appreciate you more than you'll ever know. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Paterica Jo. Dave also leaves behind his children: son, David Jr.; son, Darrell; and daughters, Linda Salas of Apple Valley, Calif., Ileene and Aimie; plus numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. David will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him. We celebrate having known you and regret your leaving us too soon. No services will be held. David will be cremated; his ashes will be taken to his beloved Smoking Gun Ranch. There he will be at rest and forever a part of everything in the universe.
