GABRIELE, Gabriel Emilio


Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from September 14 to September 21, 2011 - Gabriel Emilio Gabriele, age 87, a WWII hero, passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011. He had stage 4 Lymphoma cancer. He went to join his dad, mom, sister, brother, first wife, Hazel, and baby girl. He went to Henry Ford Trade School where he was known as Gabe, or "Gabby" to his friends. He worked at Ford Engineering, and Canfield Rubber and Plastic. As a member of the Army 90th Infantry Division, he landed on the beaches of Normandy, and was later wounded twice while serving in France. "We will miss our husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family dearly, as we loved him. It was so difficult to let him go but, his suffering is now over. Rest in peace in the arms of family and God. Gabriel is survived by his wife of 24 years, Marilyn; four sons and their wives; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A special thanks to the blood/cancer clinic (especially, Lance Carpenter), and the wonderful Hospice care.
