LARD, Jewell Marie

Crystal Rose Funeral Home, Tolleson, Arizona Jewell Marie Lard (Allen) entered into life June 1, 1923 in Greenway, Arkansas and entered into rest May 6, 2009 in Sun City West, Arizona. She leaves behind to cherish her memory; sons; Delbert Wayne Barker of North Plains, OR, Carl Michael Barker of Bothell, WA, daughters; Judy Dobiecki of Avondale, AZ, brothers; Cleatus Fitzgerald, Texarkana, AR, Gerald Fitzgerald of New York, and sister; Gladys Newman of Arkansas, 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters and 6 great granddaughters and 3 great grandsons. She was preceded in death by: her son; Cleatus Eugene Lawrence. Jewell came to Arizona about 30 years ago from Flint, Michigan and had worked as an assembler for General Motors until her retirement. She used to love to knit and crochet, and had been a member of the Senior Citizens in Tolleson, United Methodist Church and Southern Baptist Church and Hamblen Chapel Evangelistic Methodist Church, she loved going to church. Visitation 5:00-8:00 pm, Monday, May 11, 2009 at Crystal Rose Funeral Home 9155 W. Van Buren St., Tolleson with service 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Hamblen Chapel Evangelistic Methodist Church 1614 S. 111th, Cashion with interment to follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery 6290 W. Northern Ave., Glendale. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Sun Health Alzheimers Research Center 10515 W. Santa Fe Dr., Sun City, AZ 85351.
