BARRIO, Alfonso George

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona September 2011 Alfonso George (Sonny) Barrio, 79, of Phoenix passed away on September 6th 2011. He served in the Korean War and was an avid softball player in East Los Angeles and as he claimed a Los Angeles Dodger Fan for life. He worked over thirty years for the produce Markets in downtown Los Angeles. He is survived by his son Randy (Kathy) and Daughter Lina Barrio (Larry), his Grandchildren Joe Hernandez, Randy Barrio, Jr., Jason Barrio, Katrina Barrio, Tammy Canez, Victor Barrio, Tomie Barrio, Sue Barrio, Vanessa Tula and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Gloria Rosetti, Mary Hawkins, Armida Espinosa and Elaine Medina and many nephews and nieces. Graveside service will be at the VA Cemetery at 23015 N. Cave Creek Rd, Phx, AZ, September 23, 2011 at 10am.
