Robert E. Holleran (Bob) of Prescott, Ariz., was born in Port Jefferson, N.Y., on Sept. 7, 1968, and died in Phoenix, Ariz., on Sept. 4, 2011.
Robert graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., in 1989 with a BA in psychology.
Bob had a successful career in insurance sales, but decided after several years that he would feel more fulfilled working in the healthcare field.
At the time of his death, Bob was working as a home health aide. His patients constantly praised him for his care and compassion.
Many of Bob's friends speak highly of his fondness for and amazing ability to communicate with children.
Bob is still caring for us - from a safer place.
Robert is survived by his mother, Eileen; brother James; sisters Mary Hennessee, Sheila Banks and Leslie Holleran Henderson; and 10 nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011.
Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
