Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Sunday, September 18, 2011 - Sheila Ann Gomes passed away Sept. 6, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, at age 72. She was born to Charles and Ella (Ukquhart) Phillipson Nov. 1, 1938, in Saffon Walden, England. Sheila married her best friend, George Gomes, 33 years, 2 months and 6 days before her departure from this earth. She loved spending time with her husband and family. Sheila also enjoyed reading, dancing and going to Sizzler. She loved to collect plates, and her favorite time of the year was Christmas. Sheila will be dearly missed by her beloved husband, George Gomes of Lake Havasu; sons Ricky, Mark and Carl Blanton; daughter Deana Gaurgaud; brothers Charles, Gordon and Leslie Phillipson; sister June and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Larry Phillipson. There will be no services for Sheila. The family has requested donations go in Sheila’s memory to the Heart Association of LHC, PO Box 1410, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.
