The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Thursday, September 22, 2011 Mary Ott, 90 of Sedona, passed away on September 19, 2011. She was born on July 10, 1921 in Marion, Ohio to Herbert and Laura Mathias. Mary attended high school in Caledonia, Ohio and worked as a CAN for 50 years at various hospitals. She was Volunteer of the Year in Parachute, Colorado. Mary attended Sedona Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, hunting, volunteering and giving to all in need always. Mary, our Prayer Warrior, will be missed by all her family, friends and unknown recipients of her love and gifts. Mary is preceded in death by her father, Herbert Mathias and husband Kenneth Ott. She is survived by son David Ott (Joan) of Long Island, NY; daughters Abbe Renslow (Steve) of Rensselaer, NY and Cathy “Kate” Baker (Bruce), Clarkdale, AZ; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
