GREEN, Thelma Elon

Crystal Rose Funeral Home, Tolleson, Arizona Thelma Elon Green entered into life December 9, 1915 in Goree, Texas and entered into rest July 10, 2009 in Peoria, Arizona. She is survived by: children; Barbara (Morgan B) Bryant, James (Jerri) Green and Sue (John) Chaney, 6 grandchildren; Carolyn Monson, Morgan Bryant, Timothy Bryant, James Kelly Green, Jamie Cundiff & Curtis Green, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 1 sister; Lorene Perrin and 9 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; PJ Green, and 1 grandson, Scotty Allen Green. She was an active member of Tolleson Women's Club, and First Southern Baptist Church in Tolleson for 63 years. Thelma and her husband PJ were partners in several Tolleson businesses and she had a private kindergarten at her residence in Tolleson for 10 years. She received her High School diploma at the age of 85 through the Tolleson High School District complete with cap and gown. She will be dearly missed by her many family and friends. Services 11:00 am, Friday, July 17, 2009 at Assembly of God Church 10 S. 93rd Avenue, Tolleson, AZ with visitation with the family 1 hour prior to service with private interment, for the family only, to follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn 2300 W. Van Buren St., Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, Sun City In-Patient-Unit, 10323 W. Olive Ave., Peoria, AZ 85345.
