Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Tuesday, September 20, 2011 - Emma Roberta Broussard passed away Sept. 18, 2011 at her home in Fort Mohave at the age of 75. Bobbie, as she was known to her family and friends, was born Dec. 6, 1935, in Indianapolis, Ind., to James and Anna (Barnes) Turner. Bobbie and her husband moved to Lake Havasu City in April of 1989 from San Diego, Calif., where Bobbie was co-owner and manager of The Mello Inn Bar and Restaurant. While living in Lake Havasu City, she was a member of The Elks, VGW Ladies Auxiliary and The Knights of Columbus Women’s Auxiliary. Bobbie then relocated to Fort Mohave seven years ago. Bobbie is survived by her grandchildren, Bobby York and Penny York, both of Fort Mohave; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald “Frenchie” Broussard; and her daughter. Scripture service will be Saturday at 11 a.m., at Lietz-Fraze Chapel, led by Deacon Patrick Toilolo. Interment will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
