Marion Lorrains Martin passed on Sept. 14, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 87. Marion was born on March 11, 1924 in Milwaukee, Wis. to Carl and Anna (Szelwicz) Scharl.
Marion was a bar/restaurant manager for V.F.W. Club after moving here from Wisconsin 37 years ago. Marion was a volunteer at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, VFW Post 9401, American Legion Post 81, soup kitchen and Knights of Columbus. She loved traveling, playing bingo, cruising, going to casinos and collecting teddy bears.
Marion is survived by her adoring family, husband James Martin of Lake Havasu City; son James Hoffmeister and his wife Diane of Wisconsin; daughter Ruthann Mazerang and her husband Steve of Colorado; sister Joan; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and son Robert Hoffmeister.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Fri., Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Reception to follow at the Parish Hall.
