Alexander (Alex) Joseph Desik passed away Sept. 20, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 86. He was born to Stanley and Mary (Czaja) Dziedzic.
Alexander served proudly under direction of the United States Army in the Tank Corps as a driver and a gunner. He was a member of the Boy Scouts when growing up and later in life became a member of the Elks. He was an executive with Coca-Cola, a proud Sales Associate with John Hancock Insurance, and had his own cleaning business in Villa Park, Ill., before moving to Lake Havasu City 30 years ago.
Alexander was an avid sports fan; he loved golf, basketball and football. He also was a huge John Wayne fan. He collected thousands of golf balls from his walks on the golf course. He and his beloved bride of 63 years, Jacquelyn, loved being together and were truly devoted to each other. They loved traveling to antique shows together as much as possible.
Alexander will be dearly missed by all his neighbors, his dear friend Lucy, his "dog-pal", Chloe, and the girls at Dr. Sosey’s office and at Safeway. He shared his "sunshine" freely.
Alexander leaves behind his beloved wife whom he married on Nov. 13, 1948, Jacquelyn Antoinette Desik of Lake Havasu City; son Jack (Cindy) Desik of Elk Grove, Ill. and two grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Alexander’s memory to Lake Hills Inn, 2781 Osborn Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406 or Haven House, Food for Kids.
