Joan Burgess entered into life June 18, 1936 in Kansas City, Kansas and entered into rest August 4, 2009 in Goodyear, Arizona.

She leaves behind to remember her: sons; Gary (Shelly) & Tom, daughters; Sherry Brinkley & Sarah Stevens, 10 grandchildren; Mackayla, Ricky, Gabriella, Jason, Kevin, Kimberly (Darryl), Brian Jr. (Gerri), Cameron, Brandon & Sabrina, 4 great grandchild; Alexis, Kevin Jr., Trevon & Rashawn.

She was arts and crafts all the way. She could do anything including decorating cakes. She was a single mom who made sure her kids had whatever they needed. She loved her family and her kids, she loved everyone around her. She sewed and even cleaned houses. She was a GREAT mom. Very strong willed, very stubborn hanging on right to the last breath.

Services will take place at a later date in California.
