SMITHART, Willie Mae


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, September 26, 2011 Willie Mae Smithart passed away on Sept. 23, 2011, at the Arizona Pioneer's Home in Prescott. Willie was born on Jan. 24, 1924, in Houston, Texas, and lived in Arizona most of her adult life. She is survived by her husband James (Jim); her sons Byron Metcalf and Robert Metcalf; daughter-in-law Shawn Cardinal; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Willie was an active member of the LDS Church and her entire life was devoted to helping others in any way that she could. She was known by her family and friends as a loving and generous soul, committed to living a life of service for the good of mankind and the earth. Celebration of Willie's life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1001 Ruth St., with visitation a half hour prior in the Relief Society Room. The Grave Dedication will follow at the Arizona Pioneer Home Cemetery on Iron Springs. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
