JOHNSTON, Robert Dean

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 09/27/2011 Robert Dean Johnston, 52, died Sept. 17, 2011, at his home in Holbrook. He was born July 1, 1959, to Harry Dean Johnston and Elsie Rowland. Robert was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he worked as a cement finisher. He enjoyed his time fishing, hunting collecting petrified wood and watching old movies. Robert is survived by his son, Jacob Benjamin Johnston of Holbrook; a daughter Sarah Marie (Johnathan) Melborn of Harrason, Ark.; a grandson Charles William Johnston; his mother, Elsie Rowland of Soda Springs, Idaho; sisters: Dawnette (Vic) Sylvester of Pleasant Grove, Utah, Tena Clouse of Soda Springs, Idaho, and Cindy (Blaine) Farnsworth of Holbrook. Robert was preceded in death by his grandmother, Emma McLaw Hunsaker; father, Harry Dean Johnston, and a sister Tammra Holsten. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday Sept. 28, in honor of Robert at the Holbrook Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Holbrook. Arrangements were handled by Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor.
