Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, September 28, 2011 Sarah Y. Zaragoza, age 87, of Globe, Ariz., died in her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011. She was born on April 4, 1924, in Nogales, Ariz., the daughter of Carmen (Carranza) and Augustine Yubeta. Sarah was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church. She often said that her purpose in life was to be a good mother, and she fulfilled her mission in life by providing a loving and caring home for her children and instilling in them the importance of God and family. “Our mother takes with her the deep pride knowing that through her children her legacy will forever live.” She loved cooking, working in her garden, fishing/camping, playing cards, going to the casino, dancing, shopping, music, traveling, crocheting/crafts, caring for her two Chihuahuas – Princess and Chiquita, visits from her brothers and sisters, and above all loved family gatherings in her home. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Manuel P. Zaragoza of 69 years; three brothers, Mike Yubeta, Augustine Yubeta, Jr., and Fernando Yubeta; and sister, Belen Ronquillo. Sarah leaves behind her daughters, Bea (John) Sanchez of Globe, Linda (Manny) Reyes of Tempe, and Sally (Neto) Vasquez of Globe; one son, Manuel Zaragoza of Globe; seven grandchildren, Christine (Joe) Diaz, Cathy Cañez, Richard Reyes, David Reyes, Ruben (Jamie) Reyes, Ernie Vasquez, and Tiffany Vasquez; two great-grandchildren, Kevin Cañez and Courtney Cañez; a sister, Lupe Terrazas of Los Angeles, Calif. and a brother, Porfi Yubeta of Bakersfield, Calif.; any many newphews and nieces. Sarah will be warmly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends. Services for Sarah Zaragoza will be held on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Miami, Ariz. Viewing will begin at 9 a.m., followed by Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Mountain Breeze Cemetery.
