BIRNER, Napoleon (Nap) Louis


The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Tuesday, September 27, 2011 Napoleon “Nap” Louis Birner, 78, of Camp Verde passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011. He was born October 11, 1932 in Gallup, New Mexico to the late Juan Jose and Lillie (Romero) Birner - Arias. Nap worked for 28 years as an equipment operator for Arizona Public Service. He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Nap also served our country in the US Navy. He enjoyed mechanic work, collecting cars, barbecuing and being outdoors. Nap is survived by his loving wife, Susie Birner; his children, Ernie Birner of Camp Verde, Debbie Birner of Camp Verde, Joe Birner of Camp Verde, Chris Birner of Cottonwood; his brother, Joey Arias (Lupe) of Nevada; his sister, Petra Trujillo of Washington; six granddaughters and two grandsons. Recitation of the Rosary and Memorial Mass will be 10:30am Thursday, September 29, 2011 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 781 S. Cliffs Parkway, Camp Verde, AZ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 781 S. Cliffs Parkway, Camp Verde, AZ 86322. Let us rejoice for now he is at peace with the Lord.
