LINSON, Phyllis Mabel


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 09/30/2011 Phyllis Mabel Linson, 71, formerly of Lakeside and Tucson, went home to be with her Lord Sept. 24, 2011, after a valiant battle with leukemia. Phyllis was a successful business woman with a passion for life. Her fondest memories were of her family, friends and her Lord. She spent her retirement years in Lakeside, in the dream home she had built, where she enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, as well as entertaining family and friends within that home. She was one of a kind, and "we will miss her dearly." Phyllis is survived by her sister, Rosemary (John) Zienter; daughters: Marian (David) Gilbert, Cherie (David) Hackman; a son Dwayne (Tracy) Linson; eight wonderful grandchildren: Brandon, Candace, Samone, Rachael, Josh, Travis, Lindsey and Christy whom she loved with all her heart and finally her faithful and much loved dog, Penny. Her husband, Floyd E. Linson, preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 29, at Brings Funeral Home, 6910 East Broadway in Tucson, with interment following at the South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 South Park Avenue in Tucson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations (financial, blood or platelets) be made to the American Red Cross.
