Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Tuesday, September 27, 2011 - Harold (Hal) J. Bosch, 66, passed away Sept. 17, 2011 in Lake Havasu City. He was born on Feb. 9, 1945, in Allegan, Mich. He was raised in Holland, Mich. He served six years in the Army National Guard of Michigan. He was a member of Lake Havasu City Elks Lodge. He loved camping with his wife and many friends. He was the camp photographer. He enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors, off-road trips and little things like seeing chipmunks and quail. He enjoyed fishing and had to live near a large body of water. He was a big guy in many ways, heart, soul and ability to love people. He was so kind and fun to hang out with. He grew up in the country on the family farm, learning to cook from his mother. He loved to cook for his friends and family. He loved to dance with his wife. Nearly every day was a celebration. We have good memories. We will miss him. He loved his Sheltie, Molly. Hal is survived by his wife, Wilma; sister, Sandy; niece, Cynthia; brother in spirit, Lester John; many aunts, uncles and cousins in Michigan and Texas as well as many good friends who love him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Bosch and Effie (De Graaf) Bosch; and sister, Kathy Bosch. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Hal’s memory to Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Drive, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404, or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. A memorial will be at the Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Chapel Saturday at 11 a.m., to be followed by a celebration of his life to be at the John home.
