Kenneth Edwin Soderquist, 64, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, in Phoenix. He was born July 2, 1947, in Riverdale, Ill. to Carl Edwin Soderquist and Evelyn Louise Astrid Soderquist.
Ken worked as a business development manager for 30 years, retiring in 2008. He was a strong man that was full of life. He lived for adventure. He loved to spend time with his family first and foremost. He loved to hunt and fish and be out in the wilderness. Ken loved fall and preparing for hunting season. He enjoyed cooking for others, especially Dutch oven cooking and won several cooking contests that he entered.
He had a passion for collecting guns and could tell you every detail about any gun and its history that was ever made. He was the best daddy that a child could ask for. He loved to travel and see historical sites. Ken created many memories for his children and family that will live on for years to come. He loved to be with his children and their families. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Ken is survived by the mother of his children, Sharon Fraker of Boise, Idaho; a son Jeff (Kelly) Soderquist of Springerville; a daughter Kimberly Kenyon (Allen Noles) of Hudsonville, Mich.; mom Evelyn Louise Astrid Soderquist; brothers: Ronald Soderquist and Rick Soderquist; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Edwin Soderquist, uncle Earl Kenneth Boren and aunt June Boren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center.
