TRENT, Thomas (T.J.) Jefferson, Jr.


The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Tuesday, October 04, 2011 Thomas “T.J.” Jefferson Trent, Jr., 85, of Camp Verde, Arizona went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 23, 2011. T.J. was born on September 18, 1926 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Thomas Jefferson Trent, Sr. and Verdie B. Pitts. T.J. proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy 2nd Class Petty Officer, 1944 – 1945 in WWII and again during the Korean Conflict, 1951 – 1952. T.J. worked for Southern Pacific Pipeline as an Electrical Supervisor for 25 years. Served on the Walters, Oklahoma Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. Seven years serving on The Executive Board for the Arizona Southern Baptist Convention, Phoenix. He served as a faithful Deacon and Prayer Warrior for the First Southern Baptist Churches in Oklahoma and Arizona. He loved spending time with his family and friends and touch many lives with his steadfast service. He loved to play golf with friends and made the perfect shot, “Hole In-One,” 131 yards, on July 19, 1990. T.J. will be greatly missed by family and friends. Let us rejoice for now he is at peace with is Lord. T.J. is survived by the love of his life, Mildred (Midge) Maxine Trent, his wife for 65 years. His son, Stephen C. Trent (Linda) of Chico, CA. His daughter Tomi N. Cummings (Bruce) of Kimberly, ID. Three Grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren. Arrangements entrusted to Bueler Funeral Home. Information provided by survivors.
