MARTINEZ, Albert (Charro)


Copper Basin News Hayden, Az. 5 Oct. 2011 Albert “Charro” Martinez, born on June 30, 1934 in Hayden, left to be with Jesus October 1, 2011. He left behind his wife, Lilly, of 57 years; two sons, Albert J. and Richard V.; two daughters, Rosa (Louie) Torrez and Eileen Martinez; many grandchildren, Bubba, Gordo, Albert A., Evonna, Reynaldo, Millicent; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Adrian, Gavin, Lexie, Izaiah, Mikayla and many more to mention. He lived his entire life, 77 years, in Hayden, worked at ASARCO 42 years as a heavy equipment operator and as a great pitcher on softball league for 13 years. Albert was remembered fondly as a devout Christian who was very inspirational, a good cook with a ready smile and a joke and Lillian’s casino body guard. Services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 at the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Winkelman. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. with interment following at Mt. View Cemetery in Hayden. The family was assisted by Griffith Mortuary of Kearny.
