The Phoenix Republic, Phoenix, Arizona March 11, 1992, p.5B WILLIAM JACOBS William Frank Jacobs, 78, former Prescott resident died Feb. 28, 1992, at Good Samaritan Care Center in Phoenix. He was born Nov. 3, 1913, in Johnstown, Pa. to William Anthony and Camilla (Walz) Jacobs. Mr. Jacobs moved to Phoenix from Johnstown in 1942. He was a mechanical engineer for the city of Phoenix Parks Department for many years retiring in 1979. He was also a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife Alice of Phoenix; a daughter, Barbara Jean Bitler of Prescott; a sister, Hope Jacobs Jones of Johnstown; three nieces: Jean Esposito and Joan Asure, both of Johnstown, and Lucile Bortz of Lancaster, Pa. A service was conducted Friday, March 6, at the family plot in Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott. Father Jack Hencier, C.M.F., of Sacred Heart Church officiated. Memory Chapel Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
