Arizona Republic (Phoenix AZ) Wednesday, October 5, 2011 James A. "Jim" Welch, 80, of Black Canyon City, AZ, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on September 30, 2011, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 7, 1930 in Claypool, AZ. He was an Army Vet and a member of Operators Engineer Union 428 for over 50 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Faye Welch, daughter Pamela Burns and Robert, son Jim Welch, daughter Kelli Welch, grandson Derek Welch and Branda, and granddaughters Bria Welch and Caitlyn Cassille. Graveside services will be held on October 8, 2011 at 10:00am at the Black Canyon Memorial Park with a reception immediately following at the High Desert Park.
