SHEHI, Donald Bert


The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Thursday, October 06, 2011 Donald Bert Shehi, 74, of Camp Verde passed away October 4, 2011. He was born Sept 14, 1937, in Fostoria, KS, to Clare and Lucille Shehi. Don is survived by his wife of 49 years, Anita (Hartin) Shehi and his children Kristi Johnston (Steve) and Brett Shehi, his grandchildren Charles, Bethany, Benjamin and Alexis Johnston; his two sisters Nikki (Stan) Williams and Cindy Shehi, and brother Pat (Gerry) Shehi. Don worked as Manager of Technology Planning for Maricopa County Community College District for 25 years prior to retiring in 1997; he also was a teacher for the District. He enjoyed an active retirement in Camp Verde and spent his time giving to his community through serving on the Board of Directors of Verde Valley Caregivers, as a member of Aztlan Masonic Lodge #1 in Prescott, Kamp-o-Larks RV Club, Mile High Tractor Club, Arizona Flywheelers, and Camp Verde Kiwanis. A memorial service will conducted by Pastor Dave Arden of River Community Fellowship at Mountain View Methodist Church, 901 S. 12th Street, Cottonwood, Saturday, October 8, at 11:00am.
