Services will be 1 p.m. Oct. 7, 2011, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St., Prescott. Cremation will be at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley. Arrangements by Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. ~~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, October 06, 2011 Tony (Anthony) Steven Avril Karcic passed away at his home in Prescott, Ariz., Sept. 24, 2011, at the age of 22. Born to Tony Karcic and Cara Fitchett on Dec. 31, 1988, Tony was born and raised in Prescott. As a student, Tony attended Prescott High School as well as Berean Christian Academy. Tony thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the public and his coworkers at the Firehouse Kitchen. When Tony was not at work, he took great pride in his personal accomplishments in weightlifting. Tony is survived by his parents Cara Fitchett and Tony Karcic, both of Prescott; and siblings Cinda Taylor of Tucson, Ariz., Trevis Rice of Prescott Valley, Ariz., and Ashley Evartt of Travis Air Force Base, along with nine nephews and nieces and countless friends. Tony's memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott, followed by a celebration of his life with family and friends at 3 p.m. at 371 Tamarack Lane, Prescott. All who knew Tony will greatly miss his sharp wit and sense of humor. As it has been said, "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass; it's about learning to dance in the rain," and Tony had just begun to dance and would wish for those who remember him to learn their own dance during this storm.
