PENNARTZ, Delores Anne (Dee)

Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Delores Anne Pennartz (June 18, 1933 - October 4, 2011) DELORES ANNE GILBERT PENNARTZ, Born: June 18, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Okla. Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister and Nana, and friend “Dee” to many. She worked for many years as a retail buyer, assistant manager and store manager of Starretts, Dillards and Boston Stores in central and northern Arizona. Following her husband Conrad’s retirement in 1980, Dee and Conrad traveled, enjoyed their grandchildren and she was active in the women’s group of the Flagstaff Parish of San Francisco de Asis. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty- five years in 1997. Dee’s second career saw her combine her love of people and the Church with her business experience as manager of the Catholic Gift Shops at parishes in Flagstaff, Scottsdale and Phoenix. She was generous in sharing of herself and her home with others. Dee loved to entertain. She deeply appreciated the variety and richness of cultures in the community and that many others brought to her life. She was always the one in the family that took the time to keep connected with extended family and lifelong friends. In her later years, she was thrilled to reconnect with her birth family. Dee was called home to the Lord on October 4, 2011. She is survived by her sisters Jewel Dillard of Tulsa, and Mary Smith of Tecumseh, OK, three sons, Conrad Jr. of Glendale, AZ David of Phoenix, AZ and Mark of Mechanicsburg, PA, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Her greatest sources of joy were her sons, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services are at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel in Flagstaff, AZ on Monday, October 10, visitation 9:00 a.m., rosary 10:00 a.m., Mass 11:00 a.m., graveside following at Calvary Cemetery.
