Taylor Alan Chan, 21, died May 25, 2009, in Flagstaff. He was born Nov. 12, 1987, in Flagstaff to Alan and Linda Chan. He was the oldest of two children.
He graduated from Flagstaff High School in 2006 and was entering his senior year at Northern Arizona University. His love was for family, friends and the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, snowboarding, hunting, camping and kayaking. He had a spark for life and a great sense of humor. He will be missed by so many for his loving, caring and compassionate nature.
He is survived by his father, Alan Chan, and his father's wife Lindy; mother Linda M. Chan; sister Abby Rose; grandmother Mary Chan; aunt Elaine Chan; the Jay and Susan Chan family; stepbrother and step-sister Gabriel and Jenny Belle Winse; and many relatives and friends.
A funeral service honoring his life will be June 3 at 10 a.m. at Christ's Church of Flagstaff, 3475 E. Soliere Ave. Graveside services will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Flagstaff Toys for Tots, P.O. Box 127, Flagstaff, AZ 86002, or the American Cancer Society, 2724 E. Lakin, Suite 9 Flagstaff, AZ 86004, two organizations that Mr. Chan held close to his heart. As he said last week, "Every kid deserves a toy at Christmas."
