Betty Jean Lucas Finchum, 61, of Avondale died Feb. 28, 2010, in Sun City West.
She was born March 28, 1948, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to John Wesley and Josie Anna Blackburn. She worked for 10 years as a certified medical assistant. She was a housewife for most of her life. She also served at the West Valley Food Bank in Avondale.
Mrs. Finchum is survived by her husband, William Arthur Lucas; two daughters, Ruth Anna Lacoss and Elizabeth Ann Alvarado; one stepdaughter, Linda Lampkins; one stepson, David Lucas; one sister, Barbara Sundblom; three brothers, Jerry Buchanan, Larry Buchanan and Stanley Buchanan; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Service will be at 11 a.m. today at Cotton Lane Community Church, 6240 N. Cotton Lane in Waddell.
